Now until 4th June 2022
Choices reflect how the dads were feeling in that moment or spoke of a past experience or of future ambitions. Over a brew from a ghillie kettle, conversation flowed, exploring their choices and often providing the starting point for personal reflections around mental health or what was happening in their lives in that moment.
"Luke helps me with my mental health quite a lot, if I'm having a bad day. Although I'm a peer mentor now, he's still at the end of the phone at any time. It helps me be the dad I need to be because I'm only a young lad myself with a newborn baby and I don't know what I'm doing."
- Tom Isaacs, WILD Young Dad

WILD's vision is for young parents and their children to be healthy, happy and safe, with better life chances and aspirations.

Our Mission is to provide whole-family service for young mums, dads, and their children, working with families to meet their individual needs and create a positive start to family life.
Here's how we do it:
Essentials
We are checking that families are able to meet their basic needs and understand key health messages. We are supporting with finances, food and staying connected.
As energy bills and fuel prices, as well as general cost of living is drastically increasing, support for vulnerable families is more essential now than ever.
Social Contact and Supporting Mental Health
We are running in-person and online group activities, and offering 1:1 support. This includes activities for babies and children with a focus on attachment building and communication. The groups provide a space in which the families can also support each other.
Providing and Maintaining Links
We are building and maintaining links with other service providers, aiming to build a safety net of services.
We work closely with a network of local and national services who provide specialist support.
We can't do the work we do without support. Every donation we receive is hugely appreciated and goes towards giving the children of young parent families everything they need to survive and thrive.
