WILD recently welcomed The High Sheriff of Cornwall, Sam Galsworthy to a family group session.

Sam, also the Vice Chair of the Community Cornwall Foundation, was on a tour of voluntary and community groups in Cornwall, hoping to meet and hear from local people who work in and access them.
He joined a whole family session where we enjoyed sing & sign together with the babies and children before visiting the park on a chilly but bright Spring Day. Whilst with us Sam spoke to WILD Workers and parents about their experiences of living in Cornwall and what WILD meant to them.
We discussed WILD's unique place working with young parents and expectant young parents, insecure housing, rural isolation, mental health, attachment and first 1001 days and WILD's evidence-based approach to work with young parent families across Cornwall...as well as our developing national influence through our Young Parent Network.
WILD Worker Sam Quinn said, “Giving young parents a voice is one of our greatest responsibilities. Meeting influential people in the voluntary and community sector, like Sam, means they feel heard and can shine a light on the issues affecting them most."
